Adamjee car insurance is motor cover sold in the UAE by Adamjee Insurance Company Limited (AICL), which has been licensed to operate in the UAE since 24 July 1972 and is listed on the Emirates Insurance Association's register of foreign insurance companies. It offers comprehensive and third-party liability policies that meet the requirements of the Unified Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy and is supervised by the Central Bank of the UAE.
Through Lookinsure you can compare car insurance quotes online, see how Adamjee prices against other UAE insurers, and buy or renew in minutes.
Adamjee is positioned as a value insurer rather than a premium-brand one. It is most often shortlisted by drivers with older cars, imported or non-GCC vehicles, and anyone who has been quoted heavily elsewhere and wants an insurer with a broader underwriting appetite.

Comprehensive premium (Nissan Altima example) | From AED 1,375 |
Payment options | Card in full, or four interest-free instalments through Tabby or Tamara when bought via Lookinsure |
Repair network | Insurer-approved garage network; agency-repair and premium-garage upgrades available on comprehensive plans whose policy schedule includes them |
Best suited to | Budget-conscious drivers, older vehicles, imported and non-GCC cars, and drivers declined or heavily loaded elsewhere |
Adamjee third-party car insurance starts at AED 750 a year and Adamjee comprehensive car insurance starts at AED 1,375 a year. Both figures are for a 2024 Nissan Altima with a market value of AED 68,000, quoted through Lookinsure.
Comprehensive cover costs roughly 1.7 times third-party cover for the same car. That multiple is a useful sense check on any UAE motor quote: if the gap between your two quotes is much wider, the comprehensive plan is either carrying add-ons you did not ask for or valuing your car unusually high.
One number deserves attention before you buy. Adamjee declared the Altima at AED 68,000 — about 70% of its AED market value, against 86% at DNI and 85% at RAK Insurance. Declared value is the figure your total-loss or theft claim is settled against, so a lower premium paired with a lower declared value is a genuine trade-off, not a free saving. Check the declared value on your own quote before comparing premiums alone.
Prices vary by car, driver age, claims history and licence tenure, so treat these as a starting point rather than your price. Corolla owners can compare current figures on the Toyota car insurance page.
Decide what you need before you compare insurers. Third-party liability is the legal minimum and pays only for injury or damage you cause to others. Comprehensive adds damage to your own car, fire, theft, flood and a set of practical benefits on top.
If your car is financed, worth more than about AED 30,000, or you would struggle to replace it out of pocket, choose comprehensive. If the car is old, low-value and you drive it lightly, third-party is the rational choice. Lookinsure's comprehensive car insurance and third-party car insurance pages explain each cover type in full.

Adamjee sells its third-party cover in two named packages, Silver and Gold, and the difference between them is service rather than liability. Both carry the same statutory third-party protection; Gold adds concierge and lifestyle benefits on top of everything in Silver.
This structure is unusual in the UAE market, where third-party cover is normally sold as a bare legal minimum. It is one of the few genuine reasons to choose Adamjee third-party over a cheaper competitor quote.

Package contents above are as published by Adamjee Insurance on adamjeeinsurance.ae. Availability and pricing depend on the quote you are issued, so check which package your quote covers before you buy — the Silver and Gold benefits are not automatic on every third-party price you are shown.
Adamjee suits drivers who want practical cover at a competitive price and care more about affordability and acceptance than brand prestige. It is a weaker fit if you want the widest possible benefits list or regularly drive into Oman, because Adamjee's motor cover is UAE-only.
Its strongest niche is vehicles other insurers hesitate over. Owners of imported, American-spec and non-GCC car insurance cases frequently end up with Adamjee after being declined or quoted punitively elsewhere.
Adamjee may be a good fit if you want… | Why |
Competitive comprehensive pricing | AED 1,675 was the lowest comprehensive premium of the three insurers compared below |
Affordable third-party cover with real service benefits | The Silver and Gold packages add roadside, medical and concierge cover to a legal-minimum policy |
Cover for imported or non-GCC cars | Broader underwriting appetite than most UAE insurers |
Agency or premium-garage repair | Both upgrades are available on comprehensive plans whose policy schedule includes them |
To spread the cost | Four interest-free instalments through Tabby or Tamara on Lookinsure |
Adamjee may not suit you if… | Why |
You drive to Oman or across the GCC | Cover is UAE-only and no Orange Card is offered |
You want the highest total-loss settlement | The declared value quoted was about 30% below market value |
You need family or employee accident cover | Not specified in the quoted plans; RAK includes both |
Third-party cover is usually chosen on price, but liability limits, roadside support and personal accident benefits matter just as much as the premium when something goes wrong.
The three insurers below take visibly different approaches: DNI car insurance undercuts on premium, RAK car insurance loads the policy with benefits, and Adamjee sits between them. Meanwhile, if you're looking for another affordable car insurance, try checking Insurance House car insurance prices.

Comprehensive cover should be compared on total protection, not premium alone. A slightly higher premium can be the better buy when it comes with a higher declared value, wider benefits or more repair flexibility.
On this comparison Adamjee wins on price and repair flexibility, and loses on declared value and cross-border cover.

Choose Adamjee comprehensive if you want the lowest comprehensive premium of the three and free agency or premium-garage repair, and you accept a lower declared value in exchange. At AED 1,675 it was the cheapest comprehensive quote in this comparison.
Choose DNI if you only need third-party cover and price is the deciding factor — AED 728 is the lowest premium here. Choose RAK if your car is less than six months old, if you drive into Oman, or if you need family and employee accident cover, because RAK is the only one of the three that includes all of those.
Your priority | What to check | Likely direction |
Lowest third-party premium | Basic premium | DNI |
Cheapest practical comprehensive option | Premium against core benefits | Adamjee |
Better repair positioning | Agency and premium-garage repair | Adamjee |
Third-party cover with service benefits | Silver and Gold package contents | Adamjee |
Highest total-loss settlement | Declared vehicle value | DNI |
Strongest overall benefits | Roadside, GCC, ambulance, personal effects | RAK Insurance |
Oman and GCC driving | GCC extension and Orange Card | RAK Insurance |
Family and passenger protection | Passenger and family personal accident cover | RAK Insurance |
Cover for an imported or non-GCC car | Underwriting acceptance | Adamjee |
Adamjee's benefit list is built around everyday practicality rather than headline limits. The two that most often decide a purchase are the free agency-repair upgrade and the free premium-garage upgrade, because both are normally paid extras elsewhere.
Two benefits are worth reading against your own driving. Roadside assistance cover is included around the clock on comprehensive plans but priced separately on a base third-party quote, and personal accident cover applies to the driver and passengers but not, on the quoted plans, to family members or employees.
Benefit or add-on | What it means | Availability |
Third-party liability | Covers injury, death or property damage caused to others | Third-party and comprehensive |
Own damage cover | Covers damage to the insured vehicle | Comprehensive only |

Windscreen protection | Covers windscreen repair or replacement | Comprehensive |
Natural disaster cover | Covers damage caused by floods, storms and similar events | Comprehensive |

Like every UAE motor policy, Adamjee cover carries exclusions that depend on the policy wording and the cover type you bought. The most commonly triggered ones in practice are driving without a valid licence, driving under the influence, and off-road damage on a policy without off-road cover.
Common exclusion area | What it means |
Driving without a valid licence | Claims may be rejected if the driver is not legally licensed or is driving on an expired or suspended licence |
Driving under the influence | Accidents involving alcohol, narcotics or drugs affecting driver control are typically excluded |
Using the vehicle for unauthorised purposes | Claims may not be covered if the car is used differently from the purpose declared in the policy |
Racing or speed testing | Damage caused during racing, speed tests or similar activities is generally excluded |
Mechanical or electrical breakdown | Wear and tear, mechanical failure and electrical breakdown are not covered |
Tyre damage only | Tyre damage alone may not be covered unless it occurs alongside insured vehicle damage |
Overloading the vehicle | Claims may be rejected if overloading or excess passengers directly caused the accident |
Outside UAE geographical limits | Adamjee states that all its policies are limited to the UAE only. There is no Oman or GCC extension and no Orange Card |
Natural disasters on third-party policies | Third-party policies exclude floods, earthquakes, hurricanes and similar natural disasters |
War, nuclear risks or civil unrest | Damage related to war, invasion, rebellion or radioactive contamination is excluded. Riot and strike damage is covered under Adamjee comprehensive policies |
Own vehicle damage under third-party cover | Third-party insurance does not cover damage to the insured vehicle itself |
Off-road driving | Excluded. Adamjee confirms off-road cover is not available on its motor policies, so desert and wadi driving is not protected |
Employee or work-related injuries | Injuries to employees during work may require separate cover |
Intentional legal violations | Claims involving deliberate criminal acts or intentional law violations may be rejected |
Loss of insurer recovery rights | Claims may be denied if you falsely accept responsibility and prevent the insurer from recovering losses from the actually liable party |
Buying Adamjee cover through Lookinsure takes six steps and your policy activates as soon as the first payment clears, whether you pay in full or in instalments.
Adamjee asks for the same documents as any other UAE insurer. Buying through Lookinsure needs fewer of them, because vehicle details are pulled from your chassis number rather than re-keyed.
Requirements vary with insurer checks, vehicle specification and policy type. The full list of documents required for car insurance in the UAE covers the exceptions.
Adamjee motor insurance renewal through Lookinsure takes five steps and the new policy is emailed to you immediately. Renew before your current policy expires — driving uninsured in the UAE carries a fine, black points and vehicle impoundment.
Once the policy is live you can check your car insurance status online against your Emirates ID or chassis number to confirm the renewal registered.
Eligible Adamjee quotes bought through Lookinsure can be split into four interest-free payments. Your policy is issued after the first payment, not after the last one.
Both providers work the same way at checkout: car insurance with Tabby and car insurance with Tamara split the premium into four equal instalments with no added cost.
Policy type | Total premium | First payment (4 instalments) | Remaining payments |
Adamjee third-party insurance | AED 975 | Approx. AED 243.75 | 3 payments of approx. AED 243.75 |
Adamjee comprehensive insurance | AED 1,675 | Approx. AED 418.75 | 3 payments of approx. AED 418.75 |
Note: policy issuance happens right after the first payment, not after all payments are complete.
Start an Adamjee claim by submitting the online motor claim form with your accident and policy details, then wait for claim approval before any repair begins. Visiting a garage before Adamjee has approved the claim and assigned a workshop is the single most common reason a valid claim gets delayed.
Submitting a claim form does not mean liability has been accepted. Final approval depends on policy terms, submitted documents, accident circumstances and the claim assessment. The general process for a car accident insurance claim in the UAE explains what happens at each stage, including disputed-fault cases.
The online claim form asks for basic policy, vehicle and accident information so the claims team can identify your policy and open the assessment:
Adamjee repairs must be carried out inside its approved workshop network, and the garage is assigned by the insurer after the claim is approved, not chosen by you. Agency repair is available only on comprehensive policies that include the upgrade.
The full directory of workshops, with addresses and phone numbers across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, is maintained on the Adamjee car insurance garage list.
Adamjee Insurance Company Limited runs its UAE head office in Business Bay, Dubai, with branch offices in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and a separate motor claims settlement centre in Umm Ramool, Dubai. Motor claims are handled at the Umm Ramool centre, not at the branch offices.
Adamjee does not operate a branch office in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah or Umm Al Quwain. Its approved repair network still covers those emirates, and policies are valid across all seven, so drivers in the Northern Emirates are served through the Dubai and Sharjah offices and their local approved garage.
Adamjee publishes two separate numbers, and calling the wrong one is the most common reason drivers report being bounced between departments. Use 600 500 242 for policy enquiries and general customer service, and +971 4 2039300 for the claim office.
Office addresses, phone numbers and working hours above are as published by Adamjee Insurance on adamjeeinsurance.ae.
