Porsche car insurance in the UAE starts from AED 637 a year for third-party liability and from AED 1,120 for comprehensive cover, based on quotes returned on Lookinsure in September 2026. Third-party liability is the legal minimum for every car registered in the UAE under the Unified Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy; comprehensive cover is what actually pays for your own Porsche.
What separates Porsche insurance from cover on an ordinary car is not the law — it is the claim. Genuine parts, dealer labour rates and a higher declared value all sit behind the premium, and they are the reason two insurers can quote the same Cayenne hundreds of dirhams apart. Comparing before you buy is worth more on a Porsche than on almost anything else you could park next to it. You can compare car insurance quotes online in the UAE in a couple of minutes with your plate or chassis number.
Third-party liability cover for a Porsche starts from AED 637 a year on Lookinsure, and comprehensive cover from AED 1,120, based on quotes returned in September 2026. Those are starting prices: your own figure moves with the model, its year, its declared value, your claims history and whether the policy includes agency repair.
These are real quotes returned through Lookinsure, not market estimates.
Porsche model | Cover type | Insurer | Annual premium |
Cayenne Coupe | Third-party liability | Methaq | AED 637 |
718 Cayman | Third-party liability | Insurance House | AED 678 |
Panamera | Third-party liability | Methaq | AED 680 |
Cayenne Coupe | Comprehensive | Methaq | AED 1,120 |
Panamera | Comprehensive | Methaq | AED 1,120 |
Cayenne Coupe | Comprehensive | Adamjee | AED 1,375 |
Read the last two rows together, because they are the argument for comparing. The same Cayenne Coupe, on the same comprehensive cover, came back at AED 1,120 from Methaq car insurance and AED 1,375 from Adamjee car insurance — a 23% spread on one car in one week. Nothing about the vehicle changed; only the underwriter did.
Premiums are quoted against your car's declared value rather than what you paid for it, which is why a car's value drives the premium more than its badge does. Quotes are also time-limited.
Yes, relative to a mainstream car — and materially less than most owners expect. The gap is narrower than the price of the car suggests, because car insurance for a Porsche is priced against claim cost, not sticker price.
Four things push a Porsche premium above a family sedan:
Third-party liability, by contrast, prices close to any other private car — it covers what you do to other people and their property, and a Porsche does not damage a third party more expensively than a Corolla does. That is why the AED 637 to AED 680 band above sits so far below the comprehensive figures. If you want the wider picture, insuring a high-value car in the UAE covers how underwriters treat the segment as a whole, and sports and classic car cover deals with the older and track-oriented end of the range.
Insurers do not price "a Porsche" — they price a specific model, year and specification. A Macan and a 918 Spyder sit at opposite ends of the same badge.
Model | What it is | What drives its premium | Quote seen on Lookinsure |
Macan | Compact SUV | Lowest declared value in the range; the most common Porsche on UAE roads | — |
Cayenne / Cayenne Coupe | Full-size SUV | High value, but SUV accident profile keeps it below the sports models | AED 637 third-party · AED 1,120 comprehensive |
718 Cayman / Boxster | Two-seat sports car | Entry sports model; performance profile offsets the lower value | AED 678 third-party |
Panamera | Performance saloon | High value plus a long options list that raises the declared figure | AED 680 third-party · AED 1,120 comprehensive |
911 | Flagship sports car | Value and repair cost both high; specification range is very wide | — |
Taycan | Electric performance saloon | Battery pack replacement cost and specialist EV repair capacity | — |
918 Spyder and classic models | Limited-run and collector cars | Usually written on an agreed value rather than a standard schedule | — |
Two ends of the range anchor everything in between. Porsche Macan insurance is the cheapest entry point to the badge, because the Macan carries the lowest declared value Porsche sells in the UAE. Porsche 911 insurance cost, at the other end, varies more within the model than most owners expect — a base Carrera and a GT3 are quoted as different cars, which is why no single 911 figure means much.
Porsche Cayman insurance and Porsche Panamera insurance land closer together than their body styles suggest — eighteen dirhams apart on third-party cover, AED 678 from Insurance House car insurance on the Cayman against AED 680 from Methaq on the Panamera. A two-seat coupe and a four-door saloon, priced as near-equals. A Porsche 918 Spyder, or any air-cooled classic, is normally not insurable on a standard schedule at all; those go to an agreed-value arrangement negotiated directly with the underwriter.
Porsche Taycan insurance turns on one condition the price list will not show you: which workshops your insurer accepts for high-voltage repair. Read that clause before the headline premium — how electric car insurance works in the UAE explains what else changes on an EV policy.
One more variable that catches importers out: whether the car is GCC specification. A Porsche brought in from the United States or Europe can be quoted differently, or declined by some insurers outright — GCC versus non-GCC specification sets out what changes.
UAE motor policies come in two forms, and the choice is the single biggest lever on what you pay. Third-party liability is the legal minimum required of every registered vehicle. Fully comprehensive cover adds your own car to the policy.
What it pays for | Comprehensive | Third-party liability |
Injury or property damage you cause to others | Yes | Yes |
Accident damage to your own Porsche | Yes | No |
Fire, theft and attempted theft | Yes | No |
Vandalism and malicious damage | Yes | No |
Total loss settlement on your own car | Yes | No |
Agency repair at the official Porsche workshop | Optional, subject to vehicle age | No |
Legally required to register the car | No | Yes |
Take comprehensive car insurance on any Porsche you still owe finance on, and on any Porsche you could not replace out of your own pocket tomorrow. That is most of them. Third party car insurance earns its place on an older, fully owned car whose market value has fallen far enough that you would not claim on it anyway — a fifteen-year-old Boxster kept as a weekend car is a reasonable candidate; a two-year-old Cayenne is not.
Every UAE motor policy carries the same core exclusions, and none of them are Porsche-specific — but two of them bite harder on a performance car.
Covered under a comprehensive policy | Never covered |
Accident damage to your Porsche | Wear, tear and gradual deterioration |
Third-party injury and property damage | Mechanical or electrical breakdown not caused by an accident |
Fire, theft and natural catastrophe | Driving without a valid licence, or under the influence |
Personal accident cover for driver and passengers | Track days, racing, timed runs and off-road use |
Medical expenses arising from an accident | Damage traced to unapproved modifications |
Use anywhere in the UAE | Use outside the policy's stated geographical limits |
The two that matter most on a Porsche: a track day at Yas Marina or Dubai Autodrome is excluded on every standard motor policy, and a performance modification you did not declare can void a claim on the whole car, not just the modified part. Breakdown is a separate question again — a failed component is not an accident, which is what mechanical breakdown cover exists to handle. Personal accident cover is the piece most owners forget to check, because it protects the people in the car rather than the car itself.
Add-ons matter more on a Porsche than on an ordinary car, because the gap between a base comprehensive policy and a well-specified one is measured in tens of thousands of dirhams at claim time.
Agency repair is the first thing to check, not the last. It commits the insurer to repairing your car at the official Porsche dealer using genuine parts, which keeps the service history intact and protects resale value. Insurers generally offer it on cars up to around three to five years old and restrict or price it out after that.
Roadside assistance matters on a low-slung car that cannot go on a standard flatbed without care. Roadside assistance cover should specify flatbed recovery rather than a tow, and confirm the recovery operator will handle a sports car.
Windscreen cover is disproportionately valuable here. A Porsche screen with rain sensors, a heating element and camera calibration is not a AED 900 replacement, and windscreen cover normally lets you claim without touching your no-claims discount.
Key replacement is the cheap add-on with the ugliest bill behind it — a coded Porsche key with dealer programming runs into four figures. Key replacement cover handles the whole replacement rather than the cut key alone.
Zero-depreciation cover stops the insurer deducting for the age of the parts it replaces. On a car whose panels and trim carry Porsche part numbers, that deduction is large — zero-depreciation cover is worth pricing on anything under five years old.
GAP cover is optional cover for the shortfall between what you still owe a finance company and what the insurer pays out if the car is written off or stolen. It is an add-on where an insurer offers it, not a policy type in its own right, and it only earns its place on a financed Porsche in its first two or three years, when the finance balance can outrun the market value.
Every insurer weights these differently, which is exactly why the same Cayenne came back at AED 1,120 from one underwriter and AED 1,375 from another.
The saving on a Porsche policy comes from structure, not from haggling. Carry your no-claims discount certificate with you when you switch insurer — it is the one discount that follows the driver rather than the car, and it is routinely left on the table by owners who change underwriter without asking their previous insurer for the letter.
If you would rather not pay a year upfront, you can pay for car insurance with Tabby or split the premium with Tamara. The policy term and the cover are identical either way — instalments change the cash flow, not the contract.
Renewal is where most owners overpay, because rolling over the existing policy is easier than re-quoting it. Your Porsche is a year older and worth less than it was, so the comprehensive premium should have moved.
These three insurers returned the Porsche quotes shown above. Each is licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of the UAE.
Methaq returned the lowest figures in the set on both cover types — AED 637 third-party and AED 1,120 comprehensive on a Cayenne Coupe, and AED 680 third-party on a Panamera. Methaq car insurance is a Takaful insurer and is consistently competitive on SUV and saloon bodies.
Insurance House quoted the 718 Cayman at AED 678 third-party, the only two-seat sports model in the set. Insurance House car insurance is worth quoting when the car is a coupe or roadster rather than an SUV.
Adamjee came back at AED 1,375 comprehensive on the Cayenne Coupe — above Methaq on the same car, which is a reminder that no single insurer is cheapest across a range. Adamjee car insurance should still be quoted, because the ranking changes with model, year and driver profile.
Other insurers on Lookinsure's panel that also write private motor cover in the UAE:
The one Porsche-specific instruction: name the workshop before the car is moved. Once a recovery truck has taken your car to a general garage, moving it to the Porsche dealer afterwards becomes an argument rather than a process.
Lookinsure's claims team can run these steps on your behalf, including the conversation with the insurer about agency repair.
Have these ready before you quote; the same set covers a new policy, a renewal and a claim.
Cover is issued nationally and valid in every emirate, but registration and renewal rules are handled by each emirate's authority.
